Sony has unveiled a new wireless headset option for the PlayStation 3. The PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset will be available this fall for $99.99 at retailers everywhere.
The new headset is designed to bring you the best performance with the most comfort. Players will be able to connect the headsets to their system via an included (wireless) USB dongle and experience simulated 7.1 virtual surround sound. The various controls, including volume and mute options, are easily accessible on the side of the speakers in order to ensure ease of use; the headset even features on-screen displays that include battery status and volume levels. There is even and included microphone for full online chat support.
I have been wanting to get my hands on some sort of audio headset for my console for a while now and this just may be the one. The price point sets it well below the established “big dogs” in the industry considering the specs and options included. We should all be able to get our hands on this in September...
