Musical RPG comes to the App store

The App store is getting another (semi) legitimate-genred game to its pile on top of the hundreds of puzzlers and mini-game apps. Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes is an RPG game in which you summon Tune Troopers into battle using songs. It’s a musical-RPG.

The musical genre has been so popular I wouldn’t be surprised to see a musical-centered FPS sometime soon where you shoot people to a rhythm. Headshots batching beats get extra points! Now someone tell me that game already exists.

I haven’t played the original iPod version of Song Summoner, but this remake is said to have new additions such as characters and scenarios all while using the iPhone/iPod Touch’s touch screen control system. You can pick the game up now at the App store for $9.99. See, you can tell it's got to be at least semi-legitimate if it's more than the abundance of $0.99 marks floating around.

SONG SUMMONER: The Unsung Heroes - Encore is an RPG that transforms your iPhone/iPod touch songs into powerful “Tune Troopers” that you can control in battles. With a compelling storyline and intelligent battle system, both of which come to life with the help of your own music, the game offers a rare opportunity to enjoy a rich RPG experience on the iPhone/iPod touch.



A remake of the iPod version released in July 2008, SONG SUMMONER: The Unsung Heroes - Encore utilizes the platforms’ touch screen control system and includes many new characters and scenarios for players to enjoy on the go.



SONG SUMMONER: The Unsung Heroes - Encore features many exciting gameplay elements, all of which relate to and interact with the player’s music collection.
