Let's head back to River City...

Ah, River City Ransom... one of the greatest beat'em ups of all time. You would be hard pressed to find someone who didn't love this game back in the golden 8-bit era of gaming. Aksys is looking to blow the dust off of the River City IP and take gamers back to the City that flows. The company is currently working on localizing two Japanese DS games for the North American market and converting to the River City theme: River City Super Sports Challenge and River City Soccer Hooligans.
The games are both sport-based games, made in a similar style to that of the Super Dodgeball Brawlers for the Nintendo DS. While no tentative date(s) have been set for either game, much more is expected out of Aksys regarding both titles this year. Now if we can just get them to do an actual River City Ransom sequel...
