Major League Gaming team Instinct took first place last weekend at the tournament in Columbus, OH. They were a favorite coming into the competition with a first place victory
in Orlando just a few months ago. The team took $20,000 in prize money and, I'm sure, made the sponsor Old Spice proud.

TEAM INSTINCT BECOME MLG 2010 COLUMBUSCHAMPIONS, CLAIMING THEIR SECOND STRAIGHT EVENT TITLE
Team Instinct Triumph over Top Pros and Thousands of Amateur Gamers in
Major League Gaming’s Spotlight Halo 3 Event
Columbus and New York, NY (June 11, 2010) — Major League Gaming’s (MLG) 2010 Pro Circuit continued its season with a thrilling tournament this past weekend at the Columbus Convention Center in Columbus, OH. In a nail-biting final round of play against hometown favorites, Final Boss, number one-seeded Instinct prevailed to take home $20,000 and their second straight tournament win this year. Team Instinct, sponsored by Old Spice, feature Kyle “ElamiteWarrior” Elam from Union, KY and 18-year-old Scottie “Cloud” Holste of Elk Grove Village, IL who joined top twin competitors, Jason “Lunchbox” Brown and Justin “Roy” Brown of Urbana, IL.
In addition to the
Halo 3 winners, MLG’s thrilling fighting arena saw great competition in
Tekken 6 for the PlayStation 3® and
Super Smash Bros. Brawl for the Wii™. After a strong rally that drew plenty of fan support, Mew2King of Ohio kept his Brawl title for the second event in a row. Mew2King bested Ally in a vigorous 3-1 set in the Finals. On the Tekken front, Holeman of South Korea defeated Fighting GM of New York to take home the 1v1 crown.
MLG Columbus also featured the first World of Warcraft 3v3 Arena competition of the 2010 Season, as Loaded Black, also hailing from South Korea, shocked an excited crowd and took 1st place.
Doritos Pro-Gaming Combine standout, Areallygoodnoob continued his rise to stardom, joining up with pro Halo 3 team, Warriors, to take home 5th place in Columbus. In just under three months, Areallygoodnoob has gone from an unknown amateur player to one of MLG’s biggest rising stars.
Looking to follow in Areallygoodnoob’s footsteps, eight winners from the second round of the 2010 MLG Doritos Pro-Gaming Combine in Chicago, the first-ever dedicated amateur competition for the league, also competed at the Columbus Event as part of their prize package. Showcasing the deep talent pool of MLG’s up-and-coming amateur gamers, the Doritos MLG Pro-Gaming Chicago Combine event-winning Halo 3 4 v 4 team, Victorious Secret, placed 22nd, with featured players including:
