This week Sony will end the beta portion of the
PlayStation Rewards program... and then place it on the shelf until further notice. The original plans included rolling out the program officially in April, but that doesn’t seem to be the case now.
According to the official statement from Sony:
“
Based on what we learned, we have decided the program is not ready to roll out to the public in April as originally planned. But rest assured, we will continue to thank loyal and devoted customers like you with innovative offerings.”
I thought that the program had an interesting premise based on what I had read about it, but I never got to experience the beta myself. In the end, I guess I am glad that they aren’t rolling out something broken or useless and are making a conscious decision to put off launching it to the public...
