For the past several years I have participated in a backyard fireworks display that rivals the official display of the neighborhood the backyard can be found in. Ok, so maybe it wasn't that good, but it felt that good. Some things are just better when you do them yourself, especially when you do them with friends. And setting off explosives is definitely one of those things. Now that I'm living in Boston, I'm relegated to watching the fireworks display in the place where our country was born, with minor events like the Boston Pops and historical reenactments upon the actual fields where our independance was won.

Anyways, if you don't get into colored gunpowder, maybe you're into golf MMO's. Never the game to let a holiday go by without some silly contest or 5, Pangya is hosting a scavenger hunt and art contest. Sure, you could drink beer, hold a roman candle and pretend you're the Statue of Liberty, and do your best to avoid legal entanglements; or you could draw a comic strip related to an online golf mmo for unspecified prizes.

Me, I'm gonna listen to the boston pops and wish I was poorly singing Rock Band and trying not to set my friends houses on fire while entertaining the masses (aka our wives and girlfriends).

To Celebrate Independence Day, Players Will Be Invited To Take Part In
A Scavenger Hunt Celebration and Fan Art Forum Contest

Irvine, Calif., June 29, 2010 - Ntreev USA, a leading online game

participate in a 4th of July Scavenger Hunt Celebration where they
will hunt for Card Remover Gift Boxes scattered across Pangya island,
and the first-ever fan art comic contest invites players to depict

4th of July Scavenger Hunt Celebration

To celebrate Independence Day, the Chronos Fairies have left 4th of
July boxes all across Pangya Island!  The boxes will give players one
of the three kinds of Card Removers: Shady Card Remover, Generic Card
Remover and Premium Card Remover.  To aid in the search, the Chronos
Fairies have dropped hints somewhere around the 9th and 18th holes of
each course.  Starting June 30th through July 7th, players can use
versus mode or tournament mode to find the 4th of July boxes and the
Card Removers hiding inside boxes.


4th of July Fan Art Forum Contest

Ntreev is excited to announce its very first fan art comic contest
inviting players to depict their favorite Pangya characters
celebrating the 4th of July!  To enter the contest, players will be
asked to create a comic strip (660x269 dimensions) to be judged by the
Ntreev USA staff.  For a complete list of rules and guidelines,

some strong opinions when it comes to the characters and what they do
in their free time, so we're asking players to unleash and express

Pangya is a casual online multiplayer golf game that simulates the

Pangya is free for players to download and play, while some items in
the game including certain characters, clothing sets, new equipment
and accessories will be available to purchase via micro-transaction.
The in-game currency in Pangya, called Pang, allows players to
purchase items from the game's shop that will upgrade a character,
provide new inventory and equipment, allows them to send gifts to
other players and more. Gamers can earn Pang by finishing a hole at
par or better and by showcasing powerful shots.
