Bethesda showed their fans that they have a sense of humor over the holidays by releasing an 8-bit, JRPG version of Fallout. The project started with Bethesda’s staff posing the question “what would Fallout look like if it had been made in 1987 by a Japanese development studio?” The answer to that very question can be found at

The result is a fully playable, “8-bit version of the Capital Wasteland”... completely in Japanese. Even though the language barrier will likely steer most fans away, it is something you should check out just to say that you did. Plus, we all know that it is only a matter of time before a translated version hits the net.
Very cool and much appreciated Bethesda!
