If you're going to be at I/ITSEC, be sure to stop by the AMD booth when you are down there. From November 30th to December 3rd, you'll get to see stuff like 9 monitors being driven by an ATI FirePro S400 Synchronization Module and an Eyefinity example. Multiple monitors seem to be a big driver for AMD these days and you'll see on hand how it will handle rendering and syncing video and 3D applications. The booth # is 2871 to get all the visuals.
AMD Showcases Latest 3D Display Technology at I/ITSEC 2009
What: November 24, 2009: AMD (NYSE: AMD) is showcasing its latest 3D graphics display technology in booth #2871 at I/ITSEC 2009, the world’s largest modeling and simulation conference, held in Orlando, FL from November 30 to December 3, 2009. At this year’s I/ITSEC, attendees will be able to see first-hand the ATI FirePro™ S400 Synchronization Module setup with 9 monitors to enable a smooth virtual canvas for rendering and synchronizing critical video and 3D applications. In addition, AMD is demonstrating ATI Eyefinity enabling dense multi-display technology, which is transforming the relationship between PCs and displays.
In the AMD booth, you’ll also be able to experience the collaboration among AMD and Sogitec, a leading provider of simulation and training products, as well as Exxact, a leading provider of computer hardware and peripherals to the workstation and server markets.
Why: The training, education and simulation industry is always on the lookout for new technologies that enable new features and capabilities to improve the overall learning experience. AMD is on the cutting edge of 3D graphics and display technologies, and its ATI FirePro S400 Synchronization Module and ATI Eyefinity technology enable more visually rich and immersive experiences.
Benefits: Ideal for demanding visualization, simulation and rich display applications, ATI FirePro S400 is a single card solution with a dedicated processor capable of supporting clock-accurate, simultaneous GPU synchronization, including Genlock sync for video camera single source applications and Framelock sync for multiple 3D displays.
ATI Eyefinity multi-display technology brings a new "surround-sight" sensation to the training and simulation experience. Users can operate up to multiple high-resolution displays simultaneously and independently, flexibly configured in various combinations of landscape and portrait orientations. Multiple monitors can be grouped into a large integrated display surface, enabling windowed and full-screen 3D applications, images and video.
