The resurgence of the 2D genre of fighting game continues with a new contender. Hot on the heels of Capcom, SNK, and Arc System Works comes FK Digital with
Chaos Code.
Chaos Code made its debut back in April of 2009 in Japan with a location test at Matsudo but an updated version was recently shown off in Japan. The game was tested this past week at Club Sega in the Akihabara district. The game utilizes a standard four-button control set up (2 punch, 2 kick) but allows players to customize their characters in various ways before each match. Players have the ability to choose 2 special “edit Special moves” prior to each match in addition to each character’s standard arsenal. You can also select the speed setting of your character, choosing between “step” and “run” modes, which will alter the pacing of the match.
The game is a Japanese exclusive currently, for the arcade.s Hopefully the game will due well enough to warrant a console translation so that we can all get a taste of all that it has to offer. You can check out the
