NVIDIA's VR Funhouse released today

More On:

One of the coolest demos I've seen using a VR headset was NVIDIA's VR Funhouse. It leverages the various features of the Pascal line of cards to give you some seriously great visuals.

Today, NVIDIA is launching the demo for everyone to play and you can pick it up now on Steam.

It will only work with the HTC Vive currently as that's the only HMD with motion controllers, but it's free to play. I'll have to check this out when I get home. I don't have a Pascal GPU yet, but we'll see how well it works with the GeForce GTX 980 that's in my current main machine.

NVIDIA VR Funhouse

NVIDIA VR Funhouse highlights the fusion of state of the art graphics and accurate physics modeling in a virtual reality experience of midway challenges, arcade fun and table games. State of the art graphics is blended seamlessly with special effects from the NVIDIA GamesWorks SDK including NVIDIA PhysX, NVIDIA Hairworks, NVIDIA Flow, NVDIA FleX and NVIDIA Destruction. Object interaction is enhanced by NVIDIA VRWorks PhysX-based haptics.

NVIDIA VR Funhouse is a great way to show consumers and developers how VR experiences can be made even more immersive when special effects, haptics, physics and sound are added to the mix.

The game was built for people of all ages and designed for everyone to enjoy, regardless of whether or not they have tried VR or are already an early adopter of the technology.

You can download it now from Steam.
