RollerCoaster Tycoon World's moving to a new engine version

More On: RollerCoaster Tycoon World

The first real trailer for RollerCoaster Tycoon World was, shall we say, underwhelming. The graphics looked to be really dated and a lot of the excitement for the game seemed to have died down after everyone saw it.

Well, the team posted a blog saying that the graphics are just a place holder and that they are going to be working hard to make the game shine. One of those steps is going fro Unity 4.6 to Unity 5, which was released not too long ago.

The development team decided to release a trailer with what they have now just to show the world that they are indeed working on the game. It's pre-alpha so a lot can and will change one the game does get released.

No release date has been set as now they are saying that they will only release the game when it's good and ready. Which is good because this is one of the great IPs out there that you don't want to mess up. I'm looking at you SimCity.

So, for now, we can all step back and wait patiently as the team continues their work on what I hope will be another great entry into the franchise.
