Take Two is suing 3D Realms for breach of agreement as Take Two spent over $12 million for the publishing rights to the never finished
Duke Nukem Forever. That's a lot of dough to spend and they've been waiting since 2000 for the game to be released. While the game "started" development in 1997, Take Two only had the rights to publish since 2000. You had to figure it would come to this as you just don't take over $12 million from a publisher, not deliver anything, and expect to walk away. Does 3D Realms have anything left? Perhaps Take Two is looking to acquire the Duke Nukem IP in the lawsuite and finish the game themselves.
