After
LostWinds gained popularity on WiiWare last year in May, Frontier Developments decided to create a sequel. Edge Magazine’s
latest issue featured the upcoming game entitled
LostWinds: Winter of the Melodias, and gives us a preview of what we can expect (although we don't know when, as a release date has yet to be announced).
New gameplay features in the sequel give the hero, Toku, more power over the environment. Toku is still guided by directional paths that you create using the Wii Remote to control wind to push Toku around. What is new, however, is the ability to change between summer and winter depending on what you determine is best to solve the puzzles at hand. Toku can also swim, and create cyclones to manipulate the environment even further. For a little extra help, the game will also include an in-game map as well as a hint system.
