After recently hitting their Kickstarter goal of $1 million, Red Thread Games has a new environment reveal for Dreamfall Chapters. Europolis, an archetypal cyberpunk noir setting, contrasts sharply with the previously revealed Arcadia location. It's clear that the Europolis locale is in the early stages of development but it is already looking attractively bleak. I'm just happy to finally see something I've wanted for years: an open, free roaming cyberpunk city.
DREAMFALL CHAPTERS KICKSTARTER CAMPAIGN REVEALS BRAND NEW CYBERPUNK LOCATION
Europolis revealed as Dreamfall Chapters approaches the $1 million mark.
Red Thread Games is proud to announce the reveal of a brand new location for their upcoming PC/Mac/Linux adventure game, Dreamfall Chapters. The reveal was accompanied by a video, featuring realtime, in-game footage from the long-awaited sequel to critically acclaimed adventure games The Longest Journey and Dreamfall: The Longest Journey.
Europolis is a dark, cyberpunk-inspired location that will be free-roaming and fully explorable. This location joins the previously announced fantasy city of Marcuria, the magical forests of the Northlands, and the mysterious Storytime.
More locations, characters and details about the game will be revealed during the upcoming two weeks of the Kickstarter campaign, which runs until March 10th.
Since launching the Kickstarter, Dreamfall Chapters has raced past its original goal of $850,000 and two stretch goals. It's now closing in on $1 million and a third stretch goal, A Longer Journey, which brings more content and characters to the game.
