Blood Bowl screenshots feature Star Players. And blood

More On: Blood Bowl
It's a real hodgepodge of poster art, concept art, and screenshots, but these newest assets from Cyanide Studios' Blood Bowl are definitely charming ... in that bruised and battered kind of charming way of theirs.  The posters especially have some winning little details.  In "Dwarfs vs. Lizardmen," shorty's got a pint of ale while lizzy wears a pound of gold.  In "Wood Elves vs. Chaos," the elf is putting up bunny ears when both of them are already horned.  In "Orcs vs. Humans," it's hard to tell who's got worse teeth.  And before "Skaven vs. Goblins," I'd have been hard-pressed to come up with a creature more gully than a goblin, but I now know exactly one more creature that looks even more depraved.

Blood Bowl will also feature "Star Players."  These are characters that command a stiff contract fee, but will unapologetically turn the tide of battle on the gridiron.  The Humans have Griff Oberwald.  The Elves have Jordell Freshbreeze.  The Orcs have Varag Ghoul-Chewer.  And Grashnak Blackhoof is Chaos' minotaur.
Blood Bowl: Featuring - Star Players
Blood Bowl’s Star Players make their triumphant entry on the field! Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive are pleased to offer you new exclusive images from Blood Bowl -- starring Griff Oberwald, the Human Star Player, Varag Ghoul-Chewer, the Orc champion, Jordell Freshbreeze, the Elven celebrity and finally Grashnak Blackhoof, the terrifying Minotaur.

True living legends in the world of Blood Bowl, Star Players are veteran, experienced players of the game. Offering their services only to teams whose treasury is big enough to afford them, their astronomical fees are justified by their astounding efficiency on the field. Able to turn a match upside down all by themselves, they prove to be real assets for the team that hired them… and a real threat for the opposition!

These Star Players will be available for hire along with other legendary players in the Blood Bowl game on PC & Consoles.
