More On: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night

Koji Igarashi's spiritual successor to Castlevania, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, has been a long time coming. But the wait is nearly over, and publisher 505 Games' latest trailer demonstrates it was all for good purpose. The trailer shows the drastic improvements in gameplay and visuals that Bloodstained has seen over its years of development, including development assistance from Metroidvania specialists Wayforward Technologies in the past year, and of course the refreshed score provided by Castlevania composer Michiru Yamane.

Now Bloodstained is poised for release on June 18th for PS4, Xbox One and PC (GOG and Steam), and a week later on June 25th for Nintendo Switch. I have to admit I'm pretty excited, as I've been pulling for the game since it was announced and I've been eager to play a classic Castlevania style game for years. Check out the trailer below to see just how far the game has come since the early crowdfunding days.
