More On: Dawn of War 3

Relic Entertainment is unveiling a variety of new and returning units for Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, and this time they're featuring the Fire Prism tank. Agile and swift for a tank, the Fire Prism is armed with a prism cannon and twin shuriken catapults, and is piloted with a direct psychic link. This makes it ideal for taking out small groups of units or hailing fire down onto a retreating enemy. You can learn more about the Fire Prism here.

DAWN OF WAR III UNIT SPOTLIGHT: FIRE PRISM

As we gear up toward the release of Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War III, SEGA and Relic Entertainment will be unveiling some of the new and returning units that fans will be able to command. Keep up to date with all the latest announcements at DawnOfWar.com.

Fire Prisms dart across the battlefield armed with a Prism Cannon at the apex and Twin-linked Shuriken Catapults beneath the cockpit. Like most Eldar tech, these grav-tanks are made of the psycho-plastic wraithbone, allowing the pilot to navigate the controls with their mind as well as their body, giving its movements a precision uncharacteristic of most other vehicles.

The quick-moving, hard-hitting Fire Prism makes picking off large crowds of enemies caught in tight spaces is an easy job, and one that is even more effective at punishing frantic retreats. Add to that a range that far exceeds that of other vehicles in the Eldar lineup, and the Fire Prism is a formidable opponent. Although the Fire Prism has a massive firing range, it can’t see far into the distance. Because of this, it’s recommended to scout ahead with other units to give vision to the grav-tank. With this tactic, you can rip apart infantry from a safe distance!

Abilities:

Superheated (Passive)

The Fire Prism’s attack superheats the ground around its target, causing a delayed, secondary explosion. This knocks enemies back and deals massive damage to targets in the area.
