Inside is on PlayStation 4 today for a crisp $19.99 bill, completing the console-release trifecta. It launched on Xbox One on June 29, a week later for Windows on July 7, and now seven-ish weeks after that on PlayStation 4. I've been wringing my hands, waiting for this one.
Developer Playdead released an Inside launch trailer to coincide with the PS4 launch. It's a simple, slow, quietly disturbing scene juxtaposed with a victory lap of critical praise: 5 out of 5's, and 10 out of 10's. Our own Nathan Carter rated it "9.5 – Exquisite," starting his review by saying that it's the most surreal and amazing game he's played this year.
There are some dark minds at work over at Playdead. I can't wait to get my hands on this adventure. Again: Inside launched Tuesday, August 23 for PlayStation 4.
