Pokemon GO! third party trackers told to shut down by Nintendo and Niantic

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

For those of you playing Pokemon GO! on your phone (and there are a lot of you out there) you know by now that the Pokemon finder is not exactly the best thing in the world. It is usually inaccurate and finding some of the rarer Pokemon can be downright infuriating.

In the past couple of weeks, third party trackers began to appear online such as Pokevision, which would allow users to post on a Google Maps type of system where they found some of the best Pokemon. It wasn't perfect, but it was better than what was available inside the app.

Now, those appear to have been served cease and desist letters, if Pokevision's official Twitter account is a precursor to anything.

So just like that, Pokemon hunters are back to being forced to figure out the tracking system that doesn't work. We'll have more if anything changes.
