Although Chuck's been slogging Elliot down with World Cyber Games news, the WCG USA National Final if finally set to air on Spike TV's Game Head this Friday night at 1a.m.  (or Saturday morning, depending).  It's your chance to place bets on who makes the cut for Team USA in the "Olympics" of e-Sports.  Or -- as I will never refer to them again as -- the e-Lympics.   (Okay, I'm done.)

(New York, NY October 11, 2007) - This Friday night at 1 a.m., Spike TV's Game Head will premiere its coverage of the World Cyber Games (WCG) USA 2007 National Final from Universal Orlando Resort.  This special half hour, late-night special of Spike TV's signature video game program, Game Head, offers highlights and perspectives from the tournament that yielded the 22 players who will comprise TEAM USA by competing in the "Olympics" of e-Sports, the World Cyber Games 2007 Grand Final.

Culled down from more than 10,000 gamers who competed in WCG online and regional qualifiers; 188 of the best video game players in the United States faced off in 11 different Xbox 360 and PC video games for a chance to earn cash and prizes and the chance to represent their country as members of TEAM USA at the WCG 2007 Grand Final.  Now for the first time, Spike TV takes an inside look at the players, games and epic battles that made the WCG 2007 National Final the biggest and most competitive in U.S. history.

Additionally, on November 9 at 11 p.m., Spike TV will air a one-hour Game Head special dedicated to the World Cyber Games 2007 Grand Final from Seattle. This program will feature highlights of the biggest international video game tournament on the planet, where the top 700 gamers from 74 countries competed for over $500,000 in cash and prizes and title of top video game nation.
