More On: Knights Contract
Are developers trying to one-up each other in creating insane-looking enemies?  The news assets that were released today for Knights Contract make it look like Namco Bandai is joining in on the competition.  The trailer is actually one long look at a boss fight (or just a big enemy) that shows off some special moves.  It even shows a "fatality" finishing move that is delivered by a quick time event.

The screens below of the odd enemies and the video were all sent with a release date.  Knights Contract will be available starting February 22, 2011 for 360 and PS3.  Be sure to bring your camera because it looks like there will be some interesting encounters in-game.

In Knights Contract, take a journey through a medieval world of swordsmen and magic where witches have been hunted and brutally exterminated. The game will follow the twisted tale of Heinrich, an immortal executioner, and Gretchen who is a resurrected witch. Once the victim of Heinrich’s blade, Gretchen now has him by her side and the two must work together to rid the land of the malicious enemies who has curse its people.

Armed with a razor sharp scythe and explosive witchcraft, players will use these tools to return civility to the land. As players succeed in their journey, they can deal tremendous damage onto their tormentors or unleash a gruesome finisher by coordinating the efforts of Heinrich and Gretchen. However, players must also keep a close eye on Gretchen as her magical prowess and mortality is the key to the duo's survival.
