More On: A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks!
It's easy to love a company that is so honest.  The title for Frima's newest PSN mini is A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks!  As you may have guessed, it will be priced at $2.00 but PlayStation Plus members will getting the game for free on the day it is launched.  How is that for a deal?

I was pleasantly surprised by their last title (Young Thor) so I'm interested to see how well they do with this type of game.  Just like the name states, A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks! is a space-themed shoot 'em up.  Players will be given a reason to go on an intergalactic shooting spree loaded with tongue-in-cheek humor.  It sounds like a winning combination to me.  Look for A Space Shooter for 2 Bucks! on the PSN on December 21.

More information will be available soon on the game's web site but it's currently down.

Frima Studio’s A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! Set to Fire December 21 on PlayStation®Network and PlayStation®Plus!

Intense arcade action, heaps of humor and an affordable price all from one of Canada’s top developers

Quebec, Canada – December 9, 2010 – Ground Control to Major FUN! Frima Studio, a leading and award-winning multi-platform game developer based in Quebec, announced today that its latest release, A Space Shooter for Two Bucks!, will be launching into the PlayStation® Universe on Tuesday, December 21! As a PlayStation Mini title, A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! will be playable on both the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system. Not only will it be available for all PlayStation Network users for a low price, but for the first time ever, it will be launching on PlayStation Plus the same exact day and be available for all Plus users absolutely free!

Following in the footsteps of Frima’s critically-acclaimed Young Thor, Widget’s Odyssey and Zombie Tycoon titles released earlier this year, A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! features the level of quality fans and media have come to expect from Frima Studio and all with a ridiculously low two dollar price point, just in time for the Holiday gaming season.

Since time immemorial, through eons of time and dozens of game consoles, one thing has remained true: humans love hopping into a spaceship to shoot up hordes of alien invaders! In A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! (a game with perhaps the most straight-forward title in history) you get to do just that. Take control of Commander P. Jefferson and go on an intergalactic shooting spree, hopping from galaxy to galaxy in your attempts to wipe out hordes of swarming alien baddies. With over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek humor from the game’s wide cast of colorful characters (all of which are fully voiced-over) and loads of bodacious power-ups to ensure your ship has a fighting chance against the sea of enemy ships and bullets, A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! gives gamers everything they could ask for in a space shooter!

“A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! continues to show that we’re committed to the platform, and when you have a team capable of creating such gems as this, it’s easy to see why,” said Steve Couture, CEO of Frima Studio. “We’re proud to lead the way in developing fun, accessible and memorable titles for our fans around the world and can’t wait for everyone to have as much fun playing A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! as we did developing it.”

As Commander P. Jefferson (left), players must navigate through space (with the help of the trusty-yet-snobby AI, Edgar, right) in a quest to do…well, what else? Kill aliens of course!

A Space Shooter for Two Bucks! is rated T for Teen for mild fantasy violence, mild language, suggestive themes and use of tobacco and is (shockingly enough) available for $1.99.
