Double Dip of Impressions: Call of Duty 4 and Assassins Creed

Let me just get this out of the way real quick, Call of Duty 4 may be the front runner for game of the year in my opinion. I know this monster gaming season is far from over, but this game is fantastic. The single player campaign is a little short, but it is intense and provides an unforgettable experience. Call of Duty 4's graphics and game play are top notch. The multiplayer section of the game is deep and provides players with plenty of customization options. Simply put, if you have even a passing interest in shooters... you need to play this game.

If you are anything like me you have been reading the roller coaster ride of reviews for Assassins Creed. Some critics say it is disappointing, others say it is groundbreaking, and some can't really make up their minds. After playing through roughly a third of the game I can tell you that I am highly impressed. The game is not perfect, but the shortcomings do little to take away from the overall package. The controls are refreshing and fun and the game looks simply amazing. I look forward to spending a lot more time with this one.

So there you have it, two games that you might want to add to your thanksgiving menu.
