Thank the gods for companies like Irrational Games. As much as I love videogames, I do get a little tired of all the seemingly cynical games that pander to a lowest common denominator audience even if, in many cases, those games are excellent and made by developers that aren't evil. In that environment, Irrational Games has a voice and a point of view that seems to be something more than "make lots of money." The original BioShock had something to say about the way people choose to govern themselves, and so, it seems, does BioShock Infinite
. I just wish we got more games that had a point beyond ensuring the player enjoyed themselves.
On the other hand, there's something to be said for just enjoying yous.............OMG IS THAT MECHA GEORGE WASHINGTON!?
Yes, yes it is.
