Microsoft finally brings GSYNC/Freesync support to Windows 10/UWP

When Microsoft rolled out Universal Windows Apps(UWP)/Direct X 12 earlier this year a number of PC gamers found that a few features that some of them used weren't there.  Features like support for SLI, GSYNC/Freesync monitors were missing and the framerate was locked. This impacted PC games like Rise of the Tomb Raider and Quantum Break.

The reaction from the PC gaming crowd was about what you would expect as many got out their pitch forks and took to the internet to voice their concerns.  Microsoft heard their feedback and last week they released a patch that removed the framerate lock and added in support for GSYNC/Freesync monitors.  There's still no word on SLI support but hopefully Microsoft will get that out soon so that we can go back to playing games instead of complaining about support for niche features.
