Madden Cover Vote? Nope, it belongs to Gronk

For the last several years, EA has conducted a vote to determine which NFL player will grace the cover of the upcoming Madden NFL 17 game. This seemed like a good idea, but a couple of weird selections and scenarios (most notable Cleveland Browns RB Peyton Hillis in 2011) have played out the last few years and EA decided to dump the vote for 2016. As a result, Rob Gronkowski of the New England Patriots will be on this year’s cover in his signature Gronk TD Spike pose.

A couple of other notes came along with the cover reveal. If you own an Xbox One, you will get limited early access to Madden NFL 17 prior to the August 23 2018 release date via EA Access, although no dates or details yet announced yet. In addition, EA showed off a new gameplay trailer for the game which is below.
