At the EVE Fanfest yesterday, CCP showed off one of their VR projects that they are working on. As developers of EVE: Valkyrie, they're pretty experienced with making a good VR experience.
Project Arena looks to put the sport into E-Sports and one of the demos shown was a VR Tron disc fighting game. You can see the mixed reality below, but man, this looks amazing to play even at its early stage. CCP is using the Oculus Rift with Touch controllers, but I read somewhere that the HTC Vive is going to be supported as well.
I can't wait to get my hands on this and this is just another example of how games in VR can be taken to a new level of interactivity and immersiveness.
