Square Enix confirms that the Final Fantasy VII remake will have full voice acting

More On: Final Fantasy VII

This comes as no surprise to anyone, but Square Enix has been in full PR mode over the remake of Final Fantasy VII, which isn't expected to be released until sometime in 2017. The PR machine has had to build up the positive aspects of the game (That glorious trailer) and the negative aspects (Episodes? Really?) as well.

This PR is easy as it comes. In an interview with outlet Dengeki Playstation, as translated by Gematsu, Yoshinore Kitase confirmed that the game will have full voice acting.

“Basically, it will be fully voiced. We still haven’t decided the voices of the characters that weren’t in Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children.”

This is the worst kept secret since we already heard the general voice acting in the trailer, though the curious part of this is that Kitase is saying that they still need to look at the characters who never made an actual appearance in Advent Children. Perhaps this is a backwards way of confirming that actors like Steve Burton (Cloud Strife) and Rachel Leigh Cook (Tifa Lockhart) will be returning in their roles, and this would be a good thing as the voice acting in Advent Children was quite good.

We'll have more information as it becomes available, and there's sure to be more in 2016.
