Nintendo goes on 2015 holiday mall tour

The cupboards are pretty bare this year, but that won't stop Nintendo from trotting out a meager selection of software for the holidays. As usual they will be visiting select malls around America to demo the games they have on offer this year. These include The Legend of Zelda: Tri Force Heroes, Animal Crossing Happy Home Designer, Chibi-Robo Ziplash, Super Mario Maker and Yoshi's Wooly World.

However it's telling that they're also carting along much older games like Super Smash Bros and even Mario Kart 7, which is pushing 3 years old at this point. Notably Xenoblade Chronicles X and the delayed Star Fox Zero are nowhere to be seen, which doesn't bode well. Xenoblade comes out in early December, so I'm surprised they aren't hyping it more.

The list of participating cities and malls is after the break. I won't sugarcoat it, 2015's mall tour is pretty desperate and anemic. Hopefully Thursday's Nintendo Direct will bring some much-needed new blood, like the much-rumored Twilight Princess HD remake.
