ZombiU drops the U, leaps to other platforms

More On: ZombiU Zombi

One of the Wii U’s more popular and critically acclaimed launch titles is finally making its way to numerous other platforms as Ubisoft has transformed ZombieU into a digital title, simply called Zombi. The game is coming to the PS4, Xbox One and PC in just a matter of weeks, on August 18, 2015 to be exact.

Zombi is a first person, zombie survival game that challenges you to last as long as possible in an infected London. As you progress, you will surely meet your own demise; the question is that when you start your next game, do you hunt down your infected body to recover any and all progress (supplies) you made on your previous run, or do you start fresh? The original game relied heavily on the Wii U gamepad for a variety of unique gameplay elements, including scanning your environment and managing your inventory. Ubisoft hasn’t specifically detailed how these mechanics will translate to the new platform, but given the ability to use tablet or smartphones on both the Xbox One and PS4, I don’t think it is out of the question to see them carried over in some sort of way.
