Real Madrid C.F. signs exclusive partnership with EA Sports that may mean nothing

EA Sports announced today that they have struck an exclusive partnership with La Liga and European football giant Real Madrid C.F. for the upcoming launch of FIFA 16.  The announcement comes at somewhat of a curious time, considering that we're just two months away from launch here in the United States and the partnership seems to mean 3D head scans and that's about it, at least on the surface.

According to the release, it would appear that there will be some type of player tournament included in the deal besides the accurate 3D head scans of the players, but EA has always been good about making sure the big clubs had the most authentic scans.

Building upon this, the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise has an exclusive deal with La Liga that allows them to use all likenesses in their title.  Representative for the Konami-developed soccer title, Adam Bhatti, took to twitter to comment on this.

FIFA 16 is slated to be released in the United States on September 22, 2015.
