Dirty Bomb enters open beta on June 2nd

More On: Dirty Bomb

Splash Damage and Nexon America have announced that their upcoming team based shooter Dirty Bomb goes into open beta on June 2nd. It's been in closed beta for a while now on Steam but the developers clearly want as much feedback as possible before the game launches in the fall. They also have a new dev diary up explaining their shift from class-based gameplay to a more individual MOBA-style setup.

Splash Damage are talented people but after reviewing Quake Wars and Brink I sort of realized that they've been remaking the same game for years now--that game being Wolfenstein Enemy Territory. They try to integrate story into a class-based multiplayer environment but I've never felt that the plots to their games were terribly well implemented. Hopefully dirty bomb, with its story of high-scale looting in a terrorist-besieged London, will integrate the plot a little better.
