Developer Egosoft has announced that space simulator X Rebirth has been updated to version 2.51 along with a host of new features and various improvements and fixes. The most noteworthy update features include an external ship camera, free-moving cockpit view, additional shipyards and ship traders which sell small and medium sized ships, and a sidebar based main menu for quick access to various game menus.
Other features include a new series of missions titled Diplomatic Aid that provide details on diplomatic discussions between the game's factions. In addition, more generic missions have been added to keep players busy while journeying through the galaxy.
