Elite: Dangerous launching on Dec. 16

Developer Frontier Developments has announced that upcoming online space simulator Elite: Dangerous will release on December 16 for Windows PC. While the game has been available through beta at an increased price, this will finally mark the date in which those that have waited can purchase the game at a more normal pricing structure.

A pre-order edition of the game is available titled Elite: Dangerous Mercenary Edition, which includes the full game and an assortment of in-game extras including the Eagle fighter, ship liveries, Day One decal, and other digital goodies. Those that pre-order the game will also receive a discount from the final retail price. Of course anyone that has purchased the beta will receive the full game upon release.
