Which side will you pick in Warface?

More On: Warface
Crytek and Trion Worlds have a new trailer out for their upcoming free-to-play, online MMOFPS Warface. The trailer exhorts you to pick a side...but then shows that the shadowy forces behind the battle are playing both sides of the coin, as it were. Doesn't give me a whole lot of confidence but I like the complexities of warfare they are implying. If you'd still like to register for the beta, head here.

Engage the Two Sides of Battle in the Latest Warface® Trailer

“As with a coin, every conflict has two sides.” So says the brand new, action-packed trailer for Warface, the upcoming triple A, free-to-play FPS from Crytek and Trion Worlds. The trailer gives a closer look into the rival armies of Blackwood and Warface by highlighting the rules of war engagement, as well as the equal and opposite reactions that take place while in battle.

Warface is on the show floor at this week’s GDC conference at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Gamers can play the game in closed beta until the game’s official launch in Spring 2013. Players who have not yet registered for the beta can still do so at www.warface.com.

The game casts players as part of Warface, a select unit of elite warriors that have banded together to fight Blackwood – the ruling brute-force government. Featuring intense first-person shooter co-op and competitive multiplayer gameplay, with regularly added new content, Warface gives players plenty of opportunities to level-up, upgrade and customize their soldier, keeping players on their toes, forcing each faction to switch up their combat strategies in the heat of battle – all for free.
