Independent game publisher Gamecock is no longer independent as they were
purchased by Southpeak Interactive today, the terms of the deal have yet to be released. It's a bit of a surprise as Gamecock was built around being independent and they had a fairly strong lineup of impending games (
Velvet Assassin and
Legendary).
Then again the company was more known for it's
shenanigans and PR
events than it's games so maybe it was time for them to pass the torch on. It will be interesting to see if they scale back on the stunts or if they continue to use them to draw attention to the games.
