EA Admits to botching acquisitions of Westwood, Bullfrog. Somewhere Richard Garriot Shrugs

At the D.I.C.E Summit this weekend, EA CEO John Riccitiello admitted that EA "blew it" when it acquired Bullfrog and Westwood.  It's a nice admission but he leaves out the complete mess they made out of Origin Systems when they bought them in 1992.  I know I'm a bit of an Origin fanboy but what they did to Richard Garriott and company pales to the transgressions committed to Bullfrog and Westwood.  I could go on about the greatness of the Ultima and Wing Commander series but it's just going to come off as the nattering of an bitter old school PC gamer.
