At the D.I.C.E Summit this weekend, EA CEO John
Riccitiello admitted that EA "blew it" when it acquired Bullfrog and Westwood. It's a nice admission but he leaves out the complete mess they made out of Origin Systems when they bought them in 1992. I know I'm a bit of an Origin fanboy but what they did to Richard Garriott and company pales to the transgressions committed to Bullfrog and Westwood. I could go on about the greatness of the Ultima and Wing Commander series but it's just going to come off as the nattering of an bitter old school PC gamer.
