On the heels of
StarCraft II not supporting LANs,
Diablo III might go that route as well. A
post on the Battle.NET forums by one of the community managers for
Diablo III implies that they have removed that feature from the game as well. I'm not as concerned with D3 losing it as I am with
StarCraft II as I always played D2 on Battle.Net anyways just for the fact of keeping my character in the cloud. Now, I'd hope they put that option in for both games but seeing piracy as the reason for the omission doesn't fly with me.
