2K Games offering first access to Duke Nukem Forever demo to those who purchase Borderlands:GOTY

More On: Duke Nukem Forever Borderlands
In a move that's either brilliant marketing or taking advantage of an abused fanbase, the folks at 2K Games announced today that everyone who purchase Borderlands:Game of the Year edition will get a certificate that enrolls them in the Duke Nukem Forever First Access Club.  What's so special about the First Access club?  Well it will give you exclusive access to items in the game including the opportunity to play the demo of the game before it is released to the general population.

As of now there doesn't appear to be any other way to get into the First Access Club but we've got an e-mail into 2K Games to see if there are going to be alternatives.  This does seem to be a bit like EA's Gun Club which gives owners of EA shooters early access into the beta's of upcoming games.  However this does screen Duke fans who already own Borderlands and it's associated DLC as they are going to be forced to buy two copies of everything just to get early access.  Hopefully 2K provides another way to get in as this seems like a good way to piss off a lot of folks.

Update(Chuck) - The folks at 2K Games have told us to "Stay Tuned" about alternative ways to get into the early access club.  We'll let you know more when we know more.
