$800 million dollars for Grand Theft Auto V

How much did Grand Theft Auto V make in the first day? Try $800 million. Yeah, that's a nice chuck on change isn't it? That's a new record for Take Two and the Grand Theft franchise as well.
Last year, Activision said that Black Ops II took in $500 million in 24 hours. We got Call of Duty: Ghosts coming in in a few months, but I'm beginning to think Grand Theft Auto V's going to keep this record.
It goes to show you what a powerhouse that the series is. I haven't picked up a copy yet, opting for the wait and see approach for a PC version, but I think they're doing just fine without my $59.99 right now.
