Citing personal reasons, a Microsoft press release today announced that Peter Moore has resigned from Microsoft effective the end of August. Less than a week after wrapping up E3, Moore`s decision will allow him to return to the San Francisco area to continue working in the video game industry with a new company. The replacement will be Don Mattrick, a former president of Electronic Arts, who will oversee the Interactive Entertainment Business (IEB), including the Xbox and Games for Windows brands. See the full release after the jump for details.
