The New York Post is reporting that Elevation Partners (the private equity company that recently purchased Bioware and Pandemic) is considering purchasing Take Two. It certainly makes sense from an IP perspective as Take Two has a ton of good properties (Grand Theft Auto, Civilization, and the 2K Sports line of games) but the company also has a ton of pending lawsuits and perception issues thanks to the Hot Coffee "scandal" over last summer. Personally it makes a lot of sense to me to take the company private and I get the feeling that a lot of the legal issues could be mitigated away. The company has a lot of great games in the pipeline and there`s a lot of potential at the company.
