Gaming Nexus was started in 1997 to provide web readers with high quality game reviews and news. We were away for a short time as we merged with a few companies but now we're back in full force. Based out of Columbus, Ohio Gaming Nexus looks to bring you great coverage on PC and console games and hardware.

We now have a weekly radio show on a local station in Columbus. You can listen to it live every Tuesday morning at 7:45 AM EST on CD101.

The site is designed and developed by owner, John Yan. Some technologies used for the site are AJAX, persistance framework, ASP.NET, and CSS.

Dan Keener - Staff Writer - My Articles
Back in the 80's, I spent the greater part of my informative years glued to the front of a Commodore 64 after we wore out our Intellivision. If you were in the Toledo area surfing C-64 bulletin boards in the mid 80s, we probably have already met. When not running the BBS, I spent countless hours wandering around the streets of Skara Brae, as my life was immersed in The Bard's Tale series on the C-64.

After taking the early 90's off from gaming (college years) minus the occasional Bill Walsh College Football on Sega, I was re-introduced to PC games in the mid 1990's with a couple of little games called DOOM II and Diablo. Since then, I had a tendency to focus on a single PC game at a time (playing it to the end), with the list highlighted by NHL98, Diablo II, Age of Empires, Dungeon Siege and most recently Guild Wars.

All of my gaming habits changed in 2005. I was called many names that year, but the one that stuck the most was "Luck Ass". Not only did my indulgence of a Big Mac land me a spanking new Sony PSP, but on September 21st the Mountain Dew gods smiled down on me and said "You shall become a console gamer once again!" I am hooked on Xbox Live Arcade and Call of Duty 2.

Back in the real world, I am father of two living and working in the Columbus burbs. Game reviewing is new to me, but makes me fell better that my B.A. in Journalism from The Ohio State University is being put to good use.

Currently, I can be found everyday at XboxAmerica where I direct community relations for the forums, Game Ladders and Tournaments.
